About our Farm
The 340 acre family run farming property, ‘Bimbadeen’, is located close to both the world famous Penguin Parade and Grand Prix Circuit. Bimbadeen has become renowned for its award winning premium quality beef and innovative environmental practices winning awards at both State and National levels.
Since the 1980’s Bimbadeen has planted over 40,000 trees and ground-cover, protected remnant vegetation, created a wildlife corridor, fenced waterways and dams and addressed salinity issues. A 52 million year old hill locals call Hurricane Hill is also found at Bimbadeen. From the second highest point on the Island one has spectacular views of Bass Strait, Western Port and neighbouring farms.
Today over 200 Angus cattle graze the paddocks with other forms of wildlife including ducks and cape barren geese. There are also inquisitive Alpacas, 200000 bees and two very friendly sheep that call Bimbadeen home.
Enjoy walking around the farm at your leisure when you stay with us in one of our Farm Stay retreats.
